West Seattle Vintage Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen remodel was designed to honor the home’s original character while improving everyday function. A former side-entry porch was incorporated into the layout to create a spacious walk-in pantry, now tucked behind glass doors that echo the kitchen’s custom glass-front cabinetry for a cohesive, timeless look.
To keep countertops clutter-free, the homeowners chose a downdraft ventilation system for the stove and a drawer-style microwave installed beside the refrigerator. Another way to save on space is with a kitchen island that includes built-in wine and glass storage.
Original architectural details, including the existing arch and a charming pass-through to the dining room, were thoughtfully preserved, allowing the updated kitchen to feel both refreshed and true to its roots.
