About the Project:
Our clients were looking to take an under-utilized room and make it the entertaining space of their dreams. Their vision was to create a wine bar inspired lounge area, where they could entertain and enjoy their beautiful landscaping and view of downtown Bellevue. The client was specific in wanting to maintain the feel of the room, preserving a natural stone wall, decorative soffit above the bar, existing fir ceiling, and slate tile floor.
In a space that had previously been the entrance to a bathroom, we installed a beautiful live edge bar to meet the clients “wine bar” vision. Two custom corner pieces were built, integrating the live edge counter with the wet bar to become a single outstanding feature. With careful species selection and by maintaining stylistic integrity, we were able to make all these separate units unified.
Finally, we gave our client one of the Top Five on their Wish List, a wine “cellar” to feature and provide easy access to their growing collection. This previously unused storage closet was transformed into a beautiful wine cellar with climate control. We included a custom-built sideboard and floor to ceiling tiled walls and wine racks. Our client’s picture-perfect entertainment space was now complete.
