    About the position:

    Our ideal Project Manager candidate would share our values and have experience in Carpentry, Remodeling, and Home Building Project Management.

    The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects with the assistance of Carpenters. The Project Manager must be experienced and knowledgeable in all phases of production from foundations to trim-out. This role is to keep daily efforts of all involved on-task, on-time, on-budget, and most importantly safe while striving to exceed client expectations.

    Job duties include:

    • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work on ladders up to 30 feet off the ground and roofs up to 50 feet off the ground
    • Interpret, understand and follow construction drawings to ensure successful completion of the project
    • Responsible for the day to day operations on the job site and written daily updates on the jobs via BuilderTrend application
    • Discuss any conflict between plans and site conditions to the Production Manager
    • Review production schedule and keep job on-track and on-time
    • Verify correct selections are being installed or applied
    • Coordinate inspections and effectively communicate results
    • Follow company SOPs with consistent, timely and accurate submission of required administrative paperwork

    Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities:

    • Conduct pre-construction conferences involving the clients, salesperson and Production Manager
    • Daily communication with the client about schedule, cleanliness, changes and any other concerns
    • Ensure job site is hazard-free and clean at all times
    • Get answers to clients' questions and concerns in a timely manner

    Job Site Supervision:

    • Set aside planning time for reviewing all job plans, documents, and checklists prior to starting construction
    • Building to the intent of the drawings and getting any clarifications or missing information as needed
    • Conduct project site inspections
    • Create and maintain a project schedule designed to complete the job on budget and on schedule, notifying the Production Manager if this cannot be accomplished
    • Complete evaluations, accident reports and other reports necessary for the accurate and organized operation of the company
    • Develop and maintaining a safety manual and program ensuring the safe operation of all production personnel and equipment including reporting safety violations of personnel and sub-contractors
    • Conduct production and safety meetings

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English
    • Excellent and creative written and oral communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
    • Proficient use of laptop computer and Microsoft and Google applications for daily job and administrative tasks
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Excellent organization skills and ability to work independently
    • Positive attitude and self-motivating
    • Ability to easily comprehend and communicate verbal instructions
    • Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
